Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive

The Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive takes place in the unrivalled scenery of the Yorkshire Wolds. Starting off from the historic market town of Driffield, all the routes take in the undulating countryside, so graphically depicted in David Hockney’s paintings.
Now in its 6th year, the Heart of the Wolds Cycle Sportive is one of the best in Yorkshire.
Set in the beautiful rolling landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds our three rides offer something distinctive for all levels of rider.
Our shortest route (The Langtoft Loop – 37km / 23 miles) will be ideal for those trying their first sportive or new to cycling. Our 100km Classic (64 miles) will be a test for most cyclists with some stiff climbs and technical descents in the highest Wolds. Our longest 134km Challenge (86 miles) route is for cyclists who like to challenge themselves, with over 1200 metres of climbing and at least five hours of cycling.
