TORQ Development
TORQ’s Development Mountain Bike Team is exactly what it says on the tin. Many of our outstanding Performance Team riders will have been ‘in development’ either through our own structure or someone else’s. At TORQ, we coach and advise many athletes, some of whom are world-class, yet don’t ride for our team, perhaps because the goals of the TORQ team don’t fit with their own objectives, or quite simply, they may get a better deal off another sponsor.
However you look at it, we develop athletes of all abilities and those we coach who want to race and want to be part of the TORQ team may get offered a place on the TORQ Devo Squad. The criteria for selection are that the rider must be receiving coaching from TORQ and be at a performance standard that will be useful for the team.
Like the TORQ Performance Team, all Devo riders sign a contract that includes a code of conduct on trail etiquette, so I think it’s fair to say that you should never meet a rude TORQ rider on the trails.
