A couple of things.

A very disjointed article for your interest. Just an excuse to brag about TORQ’s continued drive towards world domination really!

Team TORQ bar is only weeks away from being launched – debut at the first NPS over Easter weekend. Our kit is TOP SECRET, so no previews until we’re suited and booted thank you very much. However, Team Larkfield Cycles were far more organised and got their kit design into production way ahead of us. Larkfield Cycles have teamed up with TORQ this season and I think their kit looks rather fancy don’t you?

Team manager Simon Hansford has promised to issue a proper press release with a ‘group hug’ photo in the very near future. We’ll keep you posted…

Also, TORQ-tuned Alex Amey has pulled out the stops and gone and produced the first TORQ bar bike. Unlike the bars though, it’s not edible, unless of course you have jaws of steel.

Here’s the spec:

Team TORQ bar Cannondale CAAD4 as sprayed up by Fineline sprayco
Mavic Krysrium SL Wheelset with Continental Tyres
’03 Dura Ace groupset with 52/39 FSA chainrings, 12-23 block
Dura Ace SPD-SL Pedals
Hope headset and seat clamp
Tacx bottles cages
Deda Newton oversize bars and stem
USE Alien carbon seat post
Selle Italia SLR saddle

Sadly, neither the kit nor bike are for sale, so you can’t buy em in the shops, but I thought I’d have a little expo anyway. We may be prepared to part with some of our luurvely Team TORQ bar kit though, so keep an eye out for that in the shop

Below: I just thought this was a lovely picture. I call it ‘machines and sunrise’, taken at ‘Marin Dusk Till Dawn’ Thetford 2003 (the car might be for sale?).
