    TORQ Fuelled Janet Birkmyre has this year dominated the World Masters Track Champ's, held in Manchester a few weeks ago.  Having been pretty much untouchable in her category she has taken home multiple medals and broken two world record's! Here's her report of how events unfolded...

     

    The aim was to take five wins from six starts and set two World Records along the way.

    The Nepalese National MTB Champion, Ajay Pandit Chhetri managed to turn quite a few heads with his flyweight build, effortless climbing style and enigmatic smile. At 48 kilos he is the lightest male rider we have worked with over at TORQ HQ. Based in Kathmandu the 23 year old has ridden some of the highest peaks in the world, and ridden to victory twice in the infamous stage race the Yak Attack based in the Himalayas. He has had some great support from certain UK based riders, and also the organiser of the Yak Attack who is based in the same village as TORQ.

    TORQ have recently started supporting the London Skaters Speed Team with our range of performance nutrition products. The team recently took on the Le Mans Rollers a 24 Hour team relay race held at the famous race circuit. Here’s the race report from Speed Skater Garan…

    Dave Mawhinney and Martin Goodlad took to the start line of one the biggest races in the UK with 1300 athletes toeing the line. Dave has raced this event twice before and both times obtained World Championship qualification by winning his age group and was hoping to repeat again. This was Martin's first attempt at Ironman UK, but as a seasoned athlete and previous World Championship racer, he was hoping to win his 3rd world championship qualification.

    It's not everyday that TORQ’s Performance MTB Team riders get chance to represent their country in an event that is critical for the development of the Mountain Bike Race at the Olympic Games in 2012. Last weekend TORQ’s top Elite XC riders Ben Thomas and brothers Sion and Anthony O’Boyle have had just such an opportunity after being cherry picked from a very select few of the UK best riders.
