    A TT in Wet Wales

    Mel coaxes (or should that be dupes?) her coach Chris and team-mate Jan to join her at a Time Trial in wet West Wales…

    It was with some humour that I emailed both Janet Birkmyre and coach, Chris Davis suggesting we all do a random 10 mile Time Trial in the middle of Wales  “for fun.”  Quite unbelievably, they both agreed!  I admit that I sent the suggestion fairly late at night, so their enthusiasm was perhaps aided by a glass of wine?

    Life after the MNTC

    After setting a new PB and winning four silver medals at the Masters National Track Champs in Newport, Lou heads home to Edinburgh, but ends up in Gloucester hospital instead…

    On the Sunday afternoon, having won my fourth silver medal at the Masters National Track Championships, I decided to head home to Edinburgh rather than race the points race.  So I left the Newport velodrome with a nine hour journey ahead of me.   However things went badly wrong on the way home …

    Lou Haston’s MNTC

    Louise Haston digs really deep and performs incredibly well at the Masters National Track Championships despite feeling (and subsequently confirmed she was) very ill indeed…

    Training had been going really well leading up to the Masters, we had a trial run at one of the Scottish Cycling sessions the week before and I managed two personal bests, one in the flying 200TT and one in the 500TT, so the indications were excellent and I was really looking forward to the Masters National Track Champs in Newport.
