Budapest gradually grew on me, mainly due to the thermal baths dotted all over the city. 

Ed. Days 27 to 29 were spent soaking up the East European night life – all good things must come to an end eh?

We didn’t get started ’til almost 3pm due to me being knackered and us having some stuff to buy in town.

Set off at about 1,30pm being waved off by my sister Nadia and her husband Deano. 

Luca sent me through this picture just before the off yesterday (Sunday 17th August). 

Luca is one of ‘the lads’, a long-standing school friend, with whom (on numerous occasions) I’ve drunk silly amounts of beer, embarrassed myself in front of the fairer sex and of course cycled many miles. 

Once again, two weeks before the 1st NPS in Thetford a bunch of the TORQ-tuned popped up to North Wales with their coach (I guess that’s me) for a weekend of hard physical training to put the proverbial icing on the cake after a hard winter’s graft in the saddle. 

Clive Asplen, former Mountain Biker and Rodie from ‘Beautiful Britain’ now lives and trains in New Zeeland and it looks like he’s doing rather well at this triathlon lark! 

TORQ-tuned Steve Hambling (Activ Folkestone/Trek) and Theresa Jordan (CC Luton) got their respective seasons off to a flying start last weekend at the second round of the Exodus Gorrick Spring Series.
