We’ve been longing to share with you some delicious Performance Energy Drink Mix creations we’ve been playing around with here at TORQ – what better time to tell you than at Christmas!

Our Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder does polarise our customer base somewhat. There are those who adore it – they think it tastes like mild ice cream or takes them back to their Cream Soda days! There are others who just don’t get it – how can an isotonic energy drink not taste fruity? Well, we’ve been experimenting by mixing our Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder with some of our other flavours to create some new flavour sensations and we think there are going to be some here that everyone will love!

We have put together simple mixing instructions for 500ml and 750ml versions of these drinks and due to the ratios of the flavours, they will taste slightly different. Have a play and find the flavour balance you prefer.

Functionally, the first three energy drink mixes are identical to our regular energy drink flavours. They contain the same electrolyte level and the same 2:1 Maltodextrin:Fructose formulation and concentration – they are isotonic. The last two drinks below combine Vanilla Energy Drink powder with our Hydration Drink powder. These remain at a 2:1 Glucose:Fructose ratio and are also isotonic in concentration, but do contain slightly higher electrolyte levels than our regular energy drink. These might be a good choice for use on some of those longer sweltering indoor winter training sessions?

Cola Caffeine Float

500ml: Half fill your 500ml drinks bottle with water. Add 1 level scoop of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Cola Caffeine Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 500ml and shake again. Your Cola Caffeine Float Energy Drink is ready!

750ml: Half fill your 750ml drinks bottle with water. Add 2 level scoops* of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Cola Caffeine Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 750ml and shake again. Your Cola Caffeine Float Energy Drink is ready!

*Variation: For a stronger cola flavour use 1 scoop of Vanilla and 2 scoops of blackcurrant mixed in 750ml water. 

Contains high levels of CAFFEINE*

*500ml = 50mg caffeine // 750ml = 50-100mg caffeine depending on  mix strength.

Blackcurrant Cheesecake

500ml: Half fill your 500ml drinks bottle with water. Add 1 level scoop of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Blackcurrant Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 500ml and shake again. Your Blackcurrant Cheesecake Energy Drink is ready!

750ml: Half fill your 750ml drinks bottle with water. Add 2 level scoops* of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Blackcurrant Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 750ml and shake again. Your Blackcurrant Cheesecake Energy Drink is ready!

*Variation: For a stronger blackcurrant flavour use 1 scoop of Vanilla and 2 scoops of blackcurrant mixed in 750ml water.

Lemon Soufflé

500ml: Half fill your 500ml drinks bottle with water. Add 1 level scoop of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Lemon Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 500ml and shake again. Your Lemon Soufflè Energy Drink is ready!

750ml: Half fill your 750ml drinks bottle with water. Add 2 level scoops* of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Lemon Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 750ml and shake again. Your Lemon Soufflè Energy Drink is ready!

*Variation: For a sharper lemon flavour use 1 scoop of Vanilla and 2 scoops of Lemon mixed in 750ml water.

Key Lime Pie

500ml: Half fill your 500ml drinks bottle with water. Add 1 level scoop of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Lime & Lemon Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 500ml and shake again. Your Key Lime Pie Energy Drink is ready!

750ml: Half fill your 750ml drinks bottle with water. Add 2 level scoops* of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Lime & Lemon Energy Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 750ml and shake again. Your Key Lime Pie Energy Drink is ready to drink!

*Variation: For a sharper lime flavour use 1 scoop of Vanilla and 2 scoops of Lime & Lemon mixed in 750ml water.

Tangerine Dream

500ml: Half fill your 500ml drinks bottle with water. Add 1 level scoop of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Tangerine Hydration Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 500ml and shake again. Your Tangerine Dream Energy Drink is ready!

750ml: Half fill your 750ml drinks bottle with water. Add 2 level scoops of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Tangerine Hydration Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 750ml and shake again. Your Tangerine Dream Energy Drink is ready to drink!

Note: There are no 750ml flavour variations for this drink due to electrolyte levels.

Berry Tasty

500ml: Half fill your 500ml drinks bottle with water. Add 1 level scoop of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Red Berries Hydration Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 500ml and shake again. Your Berry Beautiful Energy Drink is ready!

750ml: Half fill your 750ml drinks bottle with water. Add 2 level scoops of TORQ Vanilla Pod Energy Drink powder and 1 level scoop of TORQ Red Berries Hydration Drink powder. Shake really well. Top up with water to make 750ml and shake again. Your Berry Beautiful Energy Drink is ready to drink!

Note: There are no 750ml flavour variations for this drink due to electrolyte levels.

To make purchasing the components of these mixers cost effective, remember that with the Energy Drink pouches, discounts are applied as you add more ‘same size’ pouches to your cart.

With the Hydration Drinks, again increasing discounts apply the more pouches you purchase. Although the multi-buy discounts don’t apply to mixing Energy Drink and Hydration Drink pouches, there is an across the board 10% discount on single pouch purchases and this discount will automatically be applied to your cart. Also, bear in mind how useful both products are independently of each other – they don’t need to be mixed, but having them both in your arsenal gives you the mixing options if you so desire.
