In his first race of the season, the North West Duathlon Championships, Alex podiums with a well earned Silver having fought a tough battle throughout.

Alex – My 2016 season started with a hard fought battle from gun to tape at the North West Duathlon Champs in Carlisle. After gaining a small lead on the bike, we were neck and neck again coming into the final straight, but I was missing the final kick needed on the day. Whilst disappointing to miss out on the win I’d take a real race like this over a comfortable stroll any day and, after missing too much run training since the turn of the year, it’s nice things aren’t a million miles away from where they need to be before the bigger races of the year.
