TORQ in Your Sleep

Launched just 5 years ago, and now an established must-do event in the MTB calendar and part of the ground-breaking Endurance Series www.endurance-series.co.uk TORQ in Your Sleep opened for entries at the beginning of April.

Based at Minley Manor, Hants, GU17 9UF and known for its unique 8 mile figure of 8 course, which includes a DJ banging out tunes all night under ‘The Bridge to Nowhere’, the event has all the quality and superb organisation that you would expect from the team at Gorrick. The event takes place on Sunday 26th August and the course consists of flowing singletrack and a few technical challenges, which are interspersed by short fire roads to aid your recovery and refuelling, before an adrenaline-boosting final downhill blast back into the Arena at the end of each lap.

Apart from offering you free camping from Saturday lunchtime until Monday lunchtime over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the facilities are second to none and include an Arena, Marquee, lots of trade stands, ongoing hot and cold Food all weekend, showers and toilets, a reserved trackside pit/camping area for Solo riders, In Vision RFID Timing, and our event photographer.

Riding is from 12 noon to midnight with a DJ, free celebratory beer and chocolates until the Podium Prize Giving at around 1 a.m.  Thanks to the generous sponsorship of (well us at TORQ of course), but also Shred Magazine, Mountain Trax of Wokingham, Saddle Skedaddle holidays, Sram and Four4th Lights, there are great prizes for category winners. There will also be spot prizes, so everyone’s got a chance of winning!

Entry is by pre-entry only at www.gorrick.com and fills up rapidly, so here are your category choices: Solo (male or Female), Pair (Male, Female or Mixed), Teams of 3 (Male, Female or Mixed) and Teams of 4 (Male, Female or Mixed).
