TORQ now fuelling motorsport

We are delighted to welcome Restore Nutrition Ltd to our growing list of stockists. Founder Director, Paul Robinson, is a Nutrition Consultant to motorsport competitors and specialises in Historic Rallying. As a twice UK Champion he has long understood the challenges imposed on the body by competing in an old car for days (and often nights) on end…

Paul explains “I have been searching for a suitable energy bar for a long time. My clients are stuck in the car for hours on end, then they get a few minutes to grab a sandwich (or burger) and off they go again. This can continue for 18, 24 or even 36 hours. Hydration, stamina and concentration are vital. Add in the fact that most competitors are the wrong side of “middle age”, unfit and lazy and you can understand the problem. As soon as I saw the ingredients of TORQ bars I knew I was onto something special, then I tasted one and – wow! Even the name was designed for motorsport.

Restore Nutrition discovered TORQ bars a few weeks back and have just been tested at an event in Wales – this involved a 5pm start on Saturday finishing at 3 pm on Sunday with only a short break early on the Sunday morning. The hot, dusty conditions (even at 3 am on the Sunday morning) took their toll.

The TORQ Bars came through with flying colours. Here are two unsolicited messages I received the following day:”

”By the way nice bars – seemed to do the trick – you were right we only managed 4 over the whole weekend! – will order some more soon.”– The winners of the Historic event.

”And those TORQ bars are truly brilliant.” – The winners of the Modern event.

Restore Nutrition are already getting enquiries from Modern Rally crews and Motor Racing Teams and have plans to spread the TORQ word into Europe in the near future. They are TORQ’s official motor sport distributors, so for enquiries in this field, please contact Paul Robinson at www.restorenutrition.com or call 01600 719164.
