TORQ Performance MTB Team Bike

The TORQ Mountain bike team bike has taken another leap forward for 2011, with the addition of some new sponsors the bikes have exceeded all expectations, providing the performance the riders demand along with head turning beauty.  In true testament to the quality and unrivalled performance of the TORQ race weapon, the bike has already seen the top of many podiums this season…



Kona Kula Watt Frame: This custom carbon thoroughbred, decorated in the TORQ livery is the core of the TORQ bike and thanks to the BB30 bottom bracket and tapered head tube delivers the stiffness the riders demand. Weighing in at a an astounding 1050g this frame is not only incredibly light but boasts the legendry Kula geometry, blessing the bike with the incredible speed you would expect, both up and down of a pure race weapon.



Fox F100 Terralogic Forks: Applauded as ‘the best performing XC race fork we have ever used, bar none’ by the TORQ team and many racers at the highest level, these forks are blessed with the unparallel plush ness and stiffness that you would expect of Fox. Equipped with Fox’s latest Terralogic inertia damper these forks react to the terrain to give you the feel you require without having to flick any levels, leaving the rider to focus on the racing.


NeoGuard: These little mudguards are a new additional to the bike from Rapid Racer Products. Not only are the very effective in stopping mud flying into your face but they weight next to nothing and self clean as the forks compress. 



TORQ Wheels: At the heart of our wheels are custom Superstar Components hubs weighing in at next to nothing and boasting super stiff titanium axels these orange beauties have been incredibly reliable and are very reasonably priced. Laced up using super light CX-Ray bladed spokes, Sapins flagship model is renowned as the world strongest spokes giving a great deal of stiffness to the wheel. This impressive package is finished off with Stan’s No Tubes unrivalled tubeless system which gives the wheel a very low rotating weight and an incredibly reliable tubeless system. Thanks to the incorporated technologies these rims allow riders to run very low pressures without fear of rolling a tire and seal many punctures that would leave you walking back to the pits without even a blink of the eye.



Schwalbe Tires: As used by many of the world’s top pro racers Schwalbe tires have the perfect balance of weight, grip and toughness with a good array of treads to choose from for the variety of conditions we experience in the UK. The quality and performance of these tires put them miles ahead of their competitors. The team tires of choose for the team is the Racing Ralph 2.25 with snake skin protection which perform flawlessly in combination with the Stan’s tubeless system.



Ritchey Finishing kits: The Ritchey WCS finishing kit is the first choice of the TORQ team and multiple world champions alike. Equipping the bikes with stems, seat pins, grips and handlebar. A new addition to the 2011 team bike is the WCS Streem saddle which despite appearances boasts the comfort of an arm chain in a super lightweight and stylish package.



Superstar Components Headsets: No bike is complete without a custom headset and top cap. Superstar Components have hooked us up a treat with custom TORQ headsets which use top quality sealed cartridge bearings.



KCNC: No Bike is complete without some super lightweight gold bling. KCNC have provided some impressive kit including some seriously light headset spacers, Ti skewers, seat clamps, and bottom brackets and to finish it all gold ultra light 10 speed chains.



Shimano Groupset: Shimano have supplied there latest 10 speed Dyna-Sys drive trains with riders opting for either XT or Shimano’s latest generation XTR which adds some shinny bling to the bikes. Not only does it looks great but gives the team flawless shifting and great longevity.


Crank Bros: Pedals are normally a very personal item but these orange Candys from Crank Bros have been a popular choice among the team. They not only provide a solid pedalling platform but plenty of float which makes them very comfortable for those long hours in the saddle.



Jagwire Cables: Equipping both our gears and hydraulic brakes are Jagwire cables these beauties not only look amazing in orange but give you amazing shifting performance and are a fit an forget piece of kit giving the riders fewer things to worry about.
