Hannah Welling

Based in South West London, This is Hannah’s first year representing Torq having used their products for a number of years in a variety of different sports. Hannah has been a relative late comer to triathlon. Never one to be afraid of a challenge, her first foray into triathlon was Ironman Nice.

Since then, Hannah has competed in Ironman Lanzarote and Tenby, finishing third in her age group in Tenby. After a break for a year, 2018 was the first year Hannah moved to the 70.3 distance and qualifies for the World Championships in South Africa. Hannah’s goals for 2019 see her take on the full distance again with the hope to qualify for both Kona and the 70.3 World Championships.

Prior to triathlon, Hannah spent her junior and university years rowing where she represented GB at the Junior European championships and Wales at the Commonwealth regatta, winning a gold medal at the European championships and a silver at the Commonwealth regatta.

Whilst at university, Hannah took up mountain biking which is where her love for long distance endurance races developed, culminating in becoming European 12 hour mountain bike champion in 2011.
