TORQ swimmer Victoria Pritchard hadn’t heard of the Henley Mile and Henley Classic races before, but got the opportunity to race this one and was really glad she did it. 

This year’s BLDSA Champion of Champions Swim took part on Saturday 21st June in Dover and saw a mixed crowd of competitors, young and old, with more female entries than male and a cross-section of channel aspirants – including TORQ’s Vicky Miller. 

Two of TORQ’s Open Water Swimmers, Adam Warner and Vicky Pritchard were out racing on Sunday 25th May at the Hatfield Festival of Sport with both of them securing victories in their respective catagories. 

TORQ swimming team athlete Pippa Shuttleworth took part in the East Region Championships over the May bank holiday weekend in Luton, Bedfordshire. 

After a long search for people wishing to apply for the first TORQ Performance Swimming Team way back in September 2013, then subsequent trials at Loughborough Universities’ “Pool of Dreams” on the 12th January 2014 – the final athletes for the team were chosen. 

After searching for applicants to form the first TORQ Performance Swimming Team, 16 hopefuls descended on the home of British Swimming and “the pool of dreams” at Loughborough University with one aim and one aim only – to swim fast and become the first members of our newest TORQ Fuelled squad. 

One of the World’s leading Open Water Swimmers, Michael Ventre, is a passionate campaigner who believes that no one should go hungry. 

To complement the already highly successful and well sponsored TORQ Performance MTB Racing Team, Triathlon Team and Trail Running Team, TORQ are now searching for, and accepting applications for, podium placing athletes to be selected for the TORQ Performance Swimming Team for the 2014 season.
