Melanie travelled up to the Lake District to support her husband in the Great Lakes Fell Race and managed to coordinate a ride at the Kent Valley RC 10 mile TT, which was on the notoriously fast Levens course on the same evening.

Mel drives an eight hour round trip to ride for just over 22 minutes, but wins convincingly on the “Mighty V” near Hull …

The ‘Mighty V’ near Hull in Yorkshire is arguably one of the fastest 10 mile Time Trial courses in the country, and it is where Time Trialists often go to set new PB’s.  

Mel once again delivers an impressive ride over 10 miles to finish 3rd fastest, a result which is good enough for 6th on Standard. 

Jan Birkmyre showed great form to win Round 2 of the National Omnium Series, hosted at the Newport Velodrome…

Jan took another emphatic victory in the second round of the National Omnium Series, which took place at the Newport Velodrome in Wales recently. 

The Omnium Series #1 was held at the historic Herne Hill Velodrome and there was no keeping Jan Birkmyre off the top step of the Podium. 

The Bordeaux-Paris meeting at Palmer Park in Reading combines arguably Jan’s two strongest disciplines, with a scratch race qualifying the top nine riders (Women and U16 Boys) for a derny paced final. 

It was a rather later than expected start to the 2016 season, with several races cancelled due to the weather, but Melanie finally got rolling with real style.

This year the highly competitive VTTA 10 Mile TT Championships were to be held near Nottingham.  

With an eye on the next Commonwealth Games, Louise knew the time had come again to put down benchmark times for the squad. 

Maddy took to the line at this historic event and pulled it together for a good finish. 

Following a week of hard training, Jan had a choice: start the season with an FTP test in the garage, or a TT – it was a tough decision.
