Lots to see on Stand D4 at TCR 05

The Triathlon Cycling Running exhibition at Sandown park on the weekend of 12/13th February is rapidly approaching and I think to say we’ll be exhibiting some ‘new stuff’ is a bit of an understatement…

First of all, there’s our 2 brand new TORQ bars. So new in fact, that the Triathlon Cycling Running exhibition will represent their maiden voyage so to speak. With the same moist and chewy texture as TORQ bars 1 & 2, the new bars (TORQ bars 3 & 4) once again contain a high proportion of fairly traded fruit and are suitable for vegetarians.

TORQ bar 3 contains a delicious blend of raspberry and apple that really zings off the tongue. None of the TORQ bars contain any added flavourings, preservatives or sweeteners, just the natural taste of the fruit contained within them.

TORQ bar 4 has had a bit of spice added to it. Just a little – not a lot! If you like ginger nuts, you’ll love TORQ bar 4 and at only 2grams of fat per 100grams of product (a characteristic of all TORQ bars), they serve as an excellent high carb/low fat alternative. Finally, as with TORQ bars 1 & 2, both of the new TORQ bars contain TORQ ribose, a natural sugar providing enhanced post exercise muscular recovery.

Both TORQ bar 3 and TORQ bar 4 will be available for purchase from the TORQ shop and on the shelves of many retailers from Monday 13th February 2005.

Due to popular demand, TORQ energy, our natural unadulterated glucose polymer has been re-packaged into smaller, more convenient 1.5kg, 3kg and 5kg tubs. We’re still offering the enthusiast a great price on 10kg, but recognise that this is a huge commitment for the less determined cyclist. TORQ energy has always and still will represent excellent value for money.

By the same token, we’re also offering new 200gram pots of TORQ ribose and HMB. We will still be selling the bulk-purchase 500gram pots, as they represent fantastic value for money, but we understand that many of you will want to give these supplements a try before you commit yourselves to a 5-month supply. 200g tubs of ribose are now available from the TORQ shop.

We’re also exhibiting the new Powertap SL carbon power-measuring hub. This offers the same degree of accuracy and reliability as the Powertap Pro, but is noticeably lighter and has the electronics completely concealed within the main unit, making it practically impenetrable to water. It also looks pretty sexy. Full details are now available in the TORQ shop as we are now carrying stock.

There will also be a couple of TORQ seminars at the TCR show, where training with power will be discussed. These are free to all attendees and are scheduled for 11am Saturday and 9:30am Sunday.

Finally, another new gem from TORQ. Cycle-ops have just launched their new range of stationary exercise bikes. These are robust gym-standard exercise bikes with a difference. Firstly, they are fully adjustable, so you can set your position up to mimic that of your regular bike. Secondly, the top of the range 300PT machine also incorporates a Powertap hub containing 8 strain gauges, which provide you with essential and accurate power (wattage) feedback. To top it all, the whole system, which includes heart rate measurement, is downloadable to a PC for analysis. We are expecting a full stock of these fantastic machines from the beginning of March. Keep an eye out on this site for details and we’ll let you know as soon as we’ve got them in.

We’ll be on stand D4, so please pop along, sample our nutritional products and see what we’ve got on offer. There will be some special show offers…
