Meryl Cooper

Meryl is from Aberdeenshire in Scotland. Previously a footballer, she started ultra-trail running in her 30s in 2017 and was selected to represent Great Britain at the World Trail Running Championships in 2019. She went on to win the title of British ultra-trail champion in July 2021, winning the Lakeland Trails 100K race 40 minutes ahead of her next rival.

She followed up this performance up with a 6th place finish at the highly competitive CCC 101K event which is part of the UTMB festival in Chamonix, France. She was selected to represent Great Britain again at the 2021 World Trail Running Championships which were then postponed to November 2022. She was selected again following podium performances at Transgrancanaria and Ultra-trail Snowdonia in 2022. Meryl is a passionate health coach and running coach, working with all levels of abilities to improve their running performance, work/life balance and nutrition.
