Another London based athlete, James is a new addition to the TORQ roster for the 18/19 season. Through his early sporting career James was solely a runner, representing England for mountain running, before finally seeing the light a couple of years ago and entering the world of swim-bike-run!
Consistently one of the very fastest runners on the circuit, in his debut season he qualified for the GB AG team racing at the ITU World Championships in Rotterdam, and in season 2 qualified for Kona at the first attempt (helped by a closing marathon of 2.52). After a bike accident 2 weeks before Kona caused him to be a spectator rather than a competitor, there are a few wrongs to be righted in 2019…
The year has started well with James collecting the England Duathlon title for M25-29, as well as a 70.01 HM PB. He will be focussing primarily on 70.3 & IM racing this year, along side running events on the roads and in the mountains.
