Each Season, The Dudley Grand Prix is the closest meeting to home, so I can look forward to a bit of a lie in, eating breakfast at home (rather than in the car) and if there are no rain delays, we get home at a reasonable time too. 

Nick Shasha took to the closed roads of Kent and had a good hit out at The Bridge Triathlon, where he was rewarded with a 2nd.

Iain Robertson raced his local race and defended his title (for the 3rd time). 

With a 10th fastest of all time, in the 100 mile TT – our Eleanor Haresign really showed what a well trained and dedicated triathlete could do. 

This is the second year of the Eastridge Trail Half, which is run by Shrewsbury athletics club and the race itself starts off from Snailbeach Village Hall. 

In the lead up to the 3.8km Seahorse Swim in Studland Bay, Poole, I had only managed to have a handful of swims in my local lake. 

As TORQ Performance Running makes it’s move to include all the differing running disciplines (and no longer focuses purely on Trail running), we’ve a few new faces to introduce to you. 

Grant Johnson is an athlete from Cumbria, who has only taken to competitive running in the last 12 months. 

It had been a chaotic few weeks for Sophie, with 16 GCSE exams to be taken and a week of racing at the BEST Fest in Mallorca, but all of Sophie’s efforts proved very worth while and she was awarded a 3rd place finish in the Elite 5k at the Great North Swim – plus a TV interview afterwards – fame for Sophie! 

As a rule, Iain has concentrated on the Sprint and Olympic Distance Triathlons and truly excels in both – regularly winning various prestigious titles.
