Jan Birkmyre gets on the podium again to hold onto lead in National Omnium Series at midway point …

The latest round of the national series was held at Welwyn Garden City in glorious sunshine and Jan, who has won the first two rounds of this series, showed great consistency across the first three events.  

For anyone watching the finish line at Challenge Roth, Sunday 17th July 2016, it would have been hard to miss the big grin on Ironman Joe Skipper’s face as his dream came true. 

With his focus being firmly on the hilly Isle of Man Marathon in 5 weeks time and thinking it would be a good training run, Phil decided to enter Rutland’s Whissendine 6ix, known for being a hilly course, at the very last minute.  

Rain and mud heralded in a cold and shivery start for the Euro 24 Hour Solo Championships at Davos in the Swiss Alps.

Melanie was back on the motorways again this time travelling to Tring to ride the Ian Goodhew Memorial Time Trial. 

Returning from some serious altitude training in Fort Romeu, TORQ Fuelled Ironman Joe Skipper was doing a bit of reconnaissance and gearing up for more challenges…

First up was the Staffordshire70.3 where Joe had a pretty good swim coming out of the water close to the lead group.

Melanie travelled up to the Lake District to support her husband in the Great Lakes Fell Race and managed to coordinate a ride at the Kent Valley RC 10 mile TT, which was on the notoriously fast Levens course on the same evening.  

A very well established race on a classic course, the Dambuster Triathlon is where Iain Robertson took 1st in Age Group.
