The team relays are a fun priority for the team, a chance to catch up and show everybody what TORQ can do and boy did we perform? 

This race is often a hot topic in the triathlon magazines. 

Only a few weeks after Bontrager 24/12 and, as always, falling on the August Bank Holiday weekend, the team headed to Yately, in Surrey, for another big event in the TORQ Performance Mountain Bike Team calendar. 

Ironman races are often the most competitive and largest (3000 competitors) races in triathlon thanks to its extensive history and the allure of racing on the World Championship courses if you are fast enough to qualify. 

Bontrager 24/12 is an event which is now in its 8th year and has definitely established itself as one of the biggest 12 & 24 hour events in the UK.  

This race has some great history including being the venue for the 2002 Commonwealth games and has become a truly iconic race. 

With rather inclement weather, Eleanor Haresign braved the conditions, fights with buses and the local residents (sheep) to win the Aberfeldy middle distance triathlon, which also doubled as the Scottish Championships! 

James has completed this race on and off since 2005, having won the event twice and having always being on the podium, he had high hopes of a good result. 

An ‘Australian invasion’ was the term used by British Cycling to refer to the arrival of former TORQ Australia supported athletes, now riding for Trek World Racing. 

The 3rd round of the British XC Series saw the series return to Shropshire for a 2nd year at a venue local to TORQ HQ, Hopton Wood, on what was arguably the riders’ favourite course of the 2012 series. 

Tracy Dean, our newest signing to the TORQ Performance Trail Running team, recently had the honour of being selected to represent Great Britian at the World Trail Running Champs, which this year took place in the Gwydr Forest close to Betws-Y-Coed in North Wales.
