Today has been the final day of the inaugural TORQ Enduro Challenge (in association with Bryton GPS) with TORQ team rider Lydia Gould. 

  I joined Lydia for the first 2 hours of her journey today on the TORQ Enduro Challenge (in association with Bryton GPS) and then retraced my steps and popped into Singletrack Magazine’s HQ in Todmorden for a fine black Americano, courtesy of Chipps Chippendale. 

Finally the day’s report for the TORQ Enduro Challenge (in association with Bryton) is actually being published on the day of the respective stage. 

On Day 2 of the TORQ Enduro Challenge (in association with Bryton GPS), Lydia stormed from Cannock Chase in Staffordshire to Glossop in north Derbyshire and remarkably escaped the worst of the weather. 

On the first day of the TORQ Enduro Challenge (in association with Bryton GPS), Lydia waves goodbye to TORQ HQ and amazingly makes it to Birches Valley MTB centre at Cannock Chase. 

The first round of the Midlands XC series falls just a week away from the first round of the first National XC rounds, which marks the official start of the competitive season for many racers on the UK scene.. 

With our XC season just getting underway here in the UK, our sister company TORQ Australia’s Performance MTB Team are coming to the end of what has been a busy season, racing their equivalent of the National XC MTB Series. 

Our Performance Mountain Bike and Triathlon teams are pleased to announce that, for 2013, they will continue to be supported by Today’s Cyclist (www.todayscyclist.co.uk 

As an elite XC racer, I have always found my strengths to be on the more technically challenging courses, which are often where I produce my best race results and are typically the races I enjoy the most. 

For the Elite riders on our Performance Mountain Bike Team, the race season is a relatively long affair, with many of our riders starting competing as early as February and racing a plethora of MTB events all the way through to the end of September. 

Since its conception a number of years ago, ‘TORQ In Your Sleep’ has steadily developed, and gained a reputation as one of the UK’s must-do 12 hour endurance events, according to one of the UK’s biggest MTB Publications, and is an event which now forms part of the UK Endurance Series. 

Last weekend saw the launch of the inaugural Ritchey Trail Masters; a condensed replacement to the former Trans Wales, spread over 3 days and boasting an exciting new race format.
