Martin has been concentrating on the longer stuff this year but decided to have a blast out at a sprint triathlon a week before his main event Ironman UK. 

Last year Nick won the Hillingdon Duathlon series and hoped to retain his title again. 

It’s not everyday that TORQ’s Performance MTB Team riders get chance to represent their country in an event that is critical for the development of the Mountain Bike Race at the Olympic Games in 2012. 

Three of our triathlon team got together and competed in a run relay race over the magically distance of 1mile. 

Bontrager 24/12 is rapidly becoming the UK’s premier endurance mountain bike event, providing an unbeatable combination of the legendry course on offer at Newham Park in Plymouth and an excellent laid back atmosphere in the pits and expo area.

The TORQ Mountain bike team bike has taken another leap forward for 2011, with the addition of some new sponsors the bikes have exceeded all expectations, providing the performance the riders demand along with head turning beauty.  

The main focus for many riders on the UK domestic Mountain Bike circuit is the National Mountain Bike Championship, ‘the’ biggest race of the season. 

TORQ was sponsoring this event, so Dave and I were present with the TORQ truck, the trade stand and the TORQ gaffer. 

Sam has taken part in the 3rd race in the ‘F3 evening triathlon sprint series’. 

At the beginning of the year I had this triathlon firmly on my ‘must-do-list’.
